Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-07

Draft — pending legal review. This describes how SOVR works today; it is not yet a finalized legal agreement.

Acceptance

By using SOVR you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You hold your keys

SOVR is self-custodial. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase and private keys. If you lose them, no one — including SOVR — can recover your identity, messages, or funds.

No financial advice; irreversible transactions

SOVR is software, not a bank, broker, or money transmitter. Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. You are responsible for verifying every recipient and amount before you send. SOVR is provided 'as is', without warranties.

Acceptable use

Do not use SOVR to break the law or to harm others, and do not attempt to disrupt or overload the relay or other users' access to it.

Availability

SOVR is early software offered without any uptime guarantee. Features labelled 'coming soon' are not yet available. The relay may be unavailable at times.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SOVR is not liable for any loss of funds, data, or messages arising from your use of the software, including lost keys or irreversible transactions.
